This course introduces the practical realities of Electronic Monitoring (EM) work. It explains how EM systems operate, how alerts are generated and interpreted, and how operators make calm, defensible decisions using incomplete or delayed data.

The course is video-led and scenario-based. Learners will see how GPS, GSM, RF beacons, zones, alerts, and monitoring platforms work together, and how experienced operators assess information before taking action. The focus is on judgement, context, and documentation rather than reacting to alerts in isolation.

This training reflects real-world monitoring environments and is designed to build confidence, consistency, and professional decision-making.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain how electronic monitoring systems function end-to-end

  • Interpret alerts using context and system data

  • Understand zones, maps, and monitoring rules at a practical level

  • Apply proportionate responses to common monitoring scenarios

  • Produce clear, objective, and defensible documentation
